DON’T NEGLECT YOUR VINES POST VINTAGE

First up: How the fruit fared – quality & yields

2. Take a look at your vines’ recovery once fruit is gone.

Dig out your Spring petiole results and back them up with soil samples.

What do your vines need? Irrigation / foliar sprays / Calcium / Nitrogen?

3. Target under vine weeds and spray when appropriate.

4. Think about interrow cover crops – seed choices and how to feed. Mike can help.

Listen to Col and Mike’s talk about sheep grazing in the vineyard. Consider crash grazing – it could be better than small mob continual grazing.

5. Fire mitigation – consider reducing the build up of under vine matter.
