Cowaramup Agencies welcomed more than 70 viticulturists from the Margaret River region to hear Remi Jacquemain and Tim Brown share their experiences and passion for the Poussard pruning technique.
Two sessions were convened by Mike Sleegers and focused on pruning to enable healthy vines through effective sap flow. These provided some thought-provoking challenges to conventional pruning techniques.
The event allowed two of Australia’s most avid supporters of the technique, which they practice in their own vineyards, to present the theory and back it up in the vineyard.
A seven day lockdown in Victoria (where they both live and work), meant everyone had to make a quick change to Tim presenting via Zoom and Remi (who had made it to WA just in time) appearing in person.
