Before harvest gets underway we are holding a session for viticulturalists on weed and snail management to assist control of these post harvest.
We don’t need to remind you how bad the snails were last year. The idea is to plan for this and arm you with the information you need to take action once the dust settles on Vintage 2021.
Mike Sleegers, viticulture specialist at Cowaramup Agencies is bringing growers together with Nufarm’s Scott Paton and Bernie Zahra to discuss the latest effective solutions to combat weed and snail management in vineyards. Experienced local agronomist Brooke Anderson and Richard Fennessy, Research Scientist Grape and Wine at DPIRD will also be answering questions.
Join us as we cover:
• The importance of timing to gain good weed and snail control
• Application of the right chemicals for the right weeds
• Demonstration of the correct application of pellets for optimum results
Scott Paton is Nufarm’s research scientist. He has worked with Margaret River region’s growers for 10 years and conducts regular field trials in the area, making him a great sounding board for plant pathology and horticultural cropping.
RSVP by 7 Feb to email@example.com or call m 0436 128112. Session runs from 3-4pm via Zoom. Register here for the Zoom link.
